PROMIS provides researchers efficient, reliable, and valid assessments of adult
and child (pediatric) self–reported health including ability to function,
symptoms, feelings, and perceptions. All measures are based on a rigorous methodology.
PROMIS measures can be used as primary or secondary endpoints in clinical studies
of the effectiveness of treatment. PROMIS provides researchers with important information
about the effect of therapy that cannot be obtained by any means other than patient
reports.
