Overall Sample
The overall sample (n = 21,133) was 52% female. The median age was approximately 50 years with 12% 18-29, 12% 30-39, 16% 40-49, 32% 50-64, and 28% 65 and greater years old. Eighty-two percent were white, 9% Black, 8% multi-racial, and 1% other (Asian/Pacific Islanders and Native Americans). Nine percent of the sample was Hispanic or Latino. Educational attainment ranged from less than high school (3%) to advanced degree (19%) with 24% with a college degree, 39% some college, and 16% a high school diploma. The overall sample was used primarily for calibrating item parameters.
